Pacific Crest Trail – Day 62 (Zero miles)

Pacific Crest Trail – Day 62 (Zero miles)

To celebrate the halfway day I decided to relax and enjoy some simple comforts.

I woke up at Jamie’s cabin in Lassen, cooked a huge bowl of food to last me the day. Once full, I had a shower and went back to bed with a book.

For the remainder of the day I read and ate. The only slightly active thing I did was wash my clothes.

At about 5.30 that evening, Matt from next door came around to invite me to dinner. I finished the last few pages of my book and joined the family feast.

We talked, played cards and had a few drinks for the evening.
What a lovely way to spend a day off the trail.
