Continental Divide Trail – Day 31 (12 miles)

Continental Divide Trail – Day 31 (12 miles)

I woke up in bed at the ranch I had been staying at. I packed up and started walking down the road. Before I reached the main cabin I turned off and headed up Treasure Mountain Trail.
I spent the next 4 hours climbing up 4,000ft (1,300m) back to the divide and Wolf Creek Pass. The first section of trail was maintained, but the second half had more blown down trees then I could possibly count. There was one hell of a waterfall near the top though.

I also felt myself again, with only a slightly less energy.

At the pass, I headed into town and spent the day there. I went to the movies and saw Solo, and just relaxed in the park as I listen to the blues grass festival.

Unfortunately, our bad luck with closing forest continues, with the San Juan NF closing tomorrow night with a high due to extreme fire danger. I will have to go to the Ranger Station tomorrow to find out more details.

I ended up sleeping in the park with the few remaining festival folks.
